Draft a TikTok comment after watching the video
Updated
A video comment needs the context of the video. Watch it yourself, read the caption, and decide what you want to ask or add before opening ReplyPilot. A fluent draft is not proof that the model understood the audio, timing or joke.
This walkthrough describes a supported TikTok comment field in a desktop browser. It does not cover the TikTok mobile app.
Create the draft
- Open TikTok in the browser where ReplyPilot is installed and connected.
- Watch the video and choose the intended comment field.
- Type
/rpto open the ReplyPilot panel. - Choose a length and describe the point you want to address in the instructions field.
- Choose Generate, read the draft and edit it before manually posting.
The onboarding guide covers installing the extension and connecting your account.
Describe the relevant moment
For a fictional cooking video, you might write:
Ask whether the dough rests before shaping. The video shows shaping but I could not find a resting time in the caption. Keep it friendly and do not invent a temperature or timing.
This gives the draft a specific observation you made. “Comment on the video” leaves too much to guess, especially if the available page text is mostly a caption or the discussion is collapsed.
Use a short reply for a simple acknowledgement and a longer setting when the question needs context. Do not let the draft turn a practical question into a long compliment.
Do not assume full video understanding
The panel includes Analyze Media, but availability and interpretation depend on what the workflow can capture and process. Treat visual or audio claims as needing your own check. If the draft mentions an ingredient, quote, brand or action that you did not observe, remove it or confirm it from the video.
If the meaning depends on a sound, a cut, an earlier clip or a joke, write the context into your instruction in your own words. For nuanced or sensitive subjects, it may be better to write the reply yourself.
Review how it will sound in public
Check that the draft addresses the creator's actual point. Avoid invented personal results, medical claims or product endorsements. A comment saying “I tried this and it worked” is a claim about you; it is not harmless filler.
See the settings guide for tone, emoji and length options. If /rp does not open or the panel appears against the wrong context, follow troubleshooting before another attempt.
