Use case · LinkedIn post comments

Add a useful reply to a LinkedIn post.

A public comment should respond to the post in front of you. ReplyPilot can help draft the wording in a desktop browser; you supply the point and make the final editorial choice.

A three-step workflow

  1. Step 1

Choose the post and your point

Open a LinkedIn post with a comment box. Decide what you actually want to add: a question, a useful detail, or a considered response.

  2. Step 2

    Open the ReplyPilot panel

Type /rp in the supported comment box. Use the panel to choose the tone and other reply settings before generating a draft.

  3. Step 3

    Review before posting

Check that the draft answers the post you chose, reflects your view, and contains no invented facts or commitments. Edit it yourself, then decide whether to post.

A useful starting brief

Fictional example: “Ask how the team knows onboarding is complete. Keep it to one direct question. Do not invent my experience or add a sales pitch.” If you want to share an experience, supply the true detail yourself and check that the draft preserves it.

Know the scope

This guide covers a comment on a post. A reply to a selected comment inside a nested thread has a different target; verify that target and its parent context before posting. The extension does not make your final editorial decision for you.

Replace a generic draft with a point

A fictional first draft might say, “Great insights on onboarding! It is so important for customer success.” It agrees without adding anything. A more useful edit could be: “How do you decide when the handoff from onboarding to support is complete?” Use that question only if the author has not already answered it.

Check the platform rules as well as the wording. LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts certain extension and automated activities. Manual review does not establish that every third-party extension workflow is permitted.
