Know what you are giving a reply tool
Published · Updated
ReplyPilot generation involves sending captured post context and draft instructions to a service that prepares the reply. It is not an entirely offline writing tool. Before you generate, consider the content of the post and the information you add in instructions or personalization.
Read the ReplyPilot Privacy Policy for the published policy. This help page explains practical checks; it is not a certification or a promise that every work use is approved.
What can a generation request include?
The draft workflow uses the available post context, the requested platform, and reply controls such as length, tone, sentiment and instructions. If you enable personalization or media processing, additional context can be involved in producing the draft.
The service can record generation requests and responses. Ask support how long context and drafts are kept, who can access them, and how deletion works. Do not assume that submitted context or generated text is never stored.
What should I keep out?
- Credentials: Never paste passwords, sign-in links, authentication tokens or browser cookies into instructions or send them to support.
- Confidential work: Avoid private customer records, internal documents and unreleased company information unless your organization has approved the relevant processing.
- Unnecessary personal details: Give the draft only the background it needs. A short, accurate role description is usually more useful than a copied document full of names and identifiers.
- Sensitive screenshots: Redact private conversation content and account details before using a screenshot in a support request.
Publicly visible content can still contain personal information. Visibility alone is not a reason to include unrelated details in a draft request.
Check extension permissions
Review the permissions shown during installation and in Chrome's extension settings. You can inspect or change site-access controls using Chrome's extension management guidance. Permission changes may affect whether ReplyPilot can open on a site.
Removing the extension changes what is installed in that browser. It is separate from requesting deletion of account or service-held data.
What should a workplace ask before adopting it?
If your organization needs specific assurances, request current documentation about service providers, retention periods, data location, access controls, deletion, and contractual terms. Your reviewer can use that information to assess whether the service fits your organization's requirements.
Ask [email protected] for the information your reviewer needs before submitting confidential content. A provider's general security statement is not a substitute for approval of your particular data and workflow.
How do I request access or deletion?
Use the contact route in the privacy policy and specify whether you want account information, correction, export or deletion. Support may need to verify account ownership. Keep a record of the request and wait for confirmation of its scope and completion.
For sign-in or billing issues, use account help. For instructions on minimizing the profile information you supply, see personalization tips.
